For my final project in Broadcast Tech, I edited my interview of Pat Coughlin, an 83 year old tennis player, and turned it into a full video using soundbites, B-roll, and text. While editing the video I faced many difficulties like knowing what B-roll to put where and how to pick the best soundbites. In the end the video really came together and I'm beyond excited to show my grandmother it. I had such a fun time going out and interviewing her and then going to the tennis court with her that it didn't even seem like work. I learned a lot more about editing as well and how to make a sequence of B-roll. When I first started editing I was just placing the clips of B-roll throughout the interview. Although, I later learned that I had to make sequences with these clips and it made the video look so much better and professional. The B-roll stemmed exactly from the shots of my 6-word story so I was happy to have that knowledge before hand of the wide, medium, tight, etc. shots. This video as so much fun to edit and film and was a great way to end off my year in Broadcast Tech.
